TTS245 Dr. Victoria Jones – Satoshi’s Page

I'm listening to #theTatianaShow featuring @Victoriadentist of @Satoshis_Page Click To Tweet

With the 2020 elections looming, a major debate topic between the candidates will for certain be healthcare. Several of the nominees have proposed government run health systems similar to the National Health Service in Great Britain. On this episode of #TheTatianaShow, Tatiana and Josh go behind the lines with Dr. Victoria Jones to discuss the realities of a government run system.

We explore the history of the NHS in the U.K., how it has affected the dentistry and medical professionals, Victoria’s personal experience from working in both public and private sectors, and how her studying of economics led to her interest in Bitcoin as a payment method for her dentistry.

Dr. Jones lays out the issues with the NHS, how free markets would provide a better quality service, and if she sees any country with a good healthcare system.

We also get a sneak peek into her upcoming book, “Truth Decay- How Bitcoin Fixes This” on Bitcoin, how it works, and how to use cryptocurrency in your personal and business life.

About the Guests:

Victoria Collette Jones is a qualified dentist who has worked in the dental industry for over twenty years.

She has had a range of involvement in different public- and private-sector markets, from small family-owned practices to large corporate chains, from local co-operatives to international institutions. She also spent ten years starting up and building her own dental establishment into a profitable enterprise in the private sector, and successfully sold it in 2017. As a result she has extensive experience in varied business environments.

Victoria has also earned an MBA from the University of Nottingham, and is interested in the world of commerce and economics, including new payment methods and the ways in which these will influence and profoundly affect our future.

Her familiarization with Bitcoin came in 2016 when she introduced Bitcoin as a payment method into her own business. Victoria now works as a Bitcoin advocate, supporting individuals and businesses that are similarly interested in adopting Bitcoin as a payment method. You can learn more about her and her work at www.satoshispage.com.

TTS 240 Scott Horton

I am listening to #TheTatianaShow with @scotthortonshow Click To Tweet

Amidst the controversy surrounding U.S. and Iran tensions, I invited back to #TheTatianaShow foreign policy expert and king of anti-war news Scott Horton to discuss the current state of affairs. In his usual style, Scott eviscerates the narrative peddled by the mainstream media and Washington’s warmongers.

As most Americans believe history started on 9-11, Scott debunks the tired tropes and myths surrounding the terror war and gives us some real background into the Middle East and American relations such as:

  • How Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan kicked off the interventions during the Soviet-Afghan war in the 1980’s and the arming and funding of Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda.
  • Why Bill Clinton’s brutal sanctions of Iraq and stationing troops in Arabia were the direct reasons Bin Laden gave for his attack on the towers on 9-11.
  • How George W. Bush’s disastrous war in Iraq helped lead to the rise of the Islamic state, Barack Obama’s funding and arming of Al Qaeda in Syria and Libya in an attempt to contain Iranian influence, and how Donald Trump continues backing the radical Sunni jihadists in the Saudi war against Yemen.

Scott also gives his keen insight into the current issues of the day as only he can and answers the questions:

  • What was the real reason behind Soleimani being in Iraq and was he there on a peace mission with the Saudis?
  • Does Trump truly want war with Iran or is he doing the bidding of the neoconservatives?
  • Why are young people so easily propagandized into going to war and what can the right wing of America do to hold Trump to his promise to bring the troops home?

About the Guests:
Scott Horton is the author of Fool’s Errand: Time to End the War in Afghanistan, FoolsErrand.us, managing director of the Libertarian Institute at LibertarianInstitute.org, editorial director of Antiwar.com, host of Antiwar Radio on Pacifica, 90.7 FM KPFK in Los Angeles and KUCR 88.3 in Riverside, California and podcasts the Scott Horton Show from this website.

In 2007, Horton won the Austin Chronicle‘s “Best of Austin” award for his Iraq war coverage on Antiwar Radio. He’s conducted more than 5,000 interviews since 2003.

His articles have appeared at Antiwar.com The American Conservative, the History News Network, The Future of Freedom, The National Interest and the Christian Science Monitor, and he contributed a chapter to the 2019 book, The Impact of War.
He is a fan of, but no relation to the lawyer from Harper’s.

Scott lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, investigative reporter Larisa Alexandrovna Horton.

TTS 239 Kevin Gutzman

I am listening to #TheTatianaShow with @KevinGutzman Click To Tweet

On the first episode of 2020 for The Tatiana Show, we learn some real history from our guest Kevin Gutzman. He is a New York Times best-selling author of five books including The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution and his most recent, Thomas Jefferson- Revolutionary: A Radical’s Struggle to Remake America. Professor Gutzman teaches history at Western Connecticut State University and at former guest Tom Woods’ Liberty Classroom.

With the current impeachment of Donald Trump by the House, Dr. Gutzman provides some historical context of the process and what are the correct reasons to impeach under the U.S. constitution.  We discuss the origins of impeachment developed in the English House of Commons as a check on the king’s power and the professor provides some examples in history when the process was used such as against Thomas Wentworth, Earl of Strafford during 17th. Century England and U.S. supreme court justice Samuel Chase.

Dr. Gutzman gives his take on the current political climate of America and answers the question of why the establishment is constantly undermining Donald Trump and his predictions for the 2020 election.

We discuss nullification and can it be an effective means to curb the ever increasing size of the federal government, whether the population has become too docile and apathetic to shrink Washington’s power, and Professor Gutzman’s opinions of alternatives to the broken education system.

TTS214- TTS Kevin McKernan of Medicinal Genomics

I am listening to #TheTatianaShow Ep.214 featuring @Kevin_McKernan of @MediGenomics Click To Tweet

On this episode of The Tatiana Show,  Tatiana and Josh speak with our returning guest, Kevin McKernan, about how he combatted hacked servers and secured his Medicinal Cannabis Genomics data using encrypted blockchain technology. These so-called “Honey Pot” data servers were trusted until they implemented their premeditated plan to steal their customers data in order to use it for competitive advantage. We also hear more about the newest science behind Cannabis Genetics – such as a brewing technique that integrates cannabis within a yeast strain. Stay tuned to learn the surprising bit about how psychoactive compounds are made – not grown organically. McKernan is an expert in the field of Cannabis Genomics and we are excited to share his amazing journey through one of the fastest-growing industries with our listeners. As always, thank you to our sponsors Vaultoro and SALT Lending.  Cheers!

About the Guests:

Kevin is the CSO and Founder of Medicinal Genomics and has pioneered the genomics of cannabis and hemp to build a stronger scientific environment (Kannapedia.net) for the study of cannabis based therapeutics and blockchain technologies for tracking and verifying cannabis genetics. Previously, Kevin was the CSO of Courtagen Life Sciences, Inc., and was Vice President and Director of R&D of Life Technologies where he managed the development of Life Technologies next generation SOLiD sequencing technology. These collaborations resulted in hundreds of publications and 7 Journal covers from Science Translational Medicine to Nature.

Kevin was the President and CSO of Agencourt Personal Genomics, a startup company he co-founded in 2005 to invent revolutionary sequencing technologies that dropped the cost of sequencing a human genome from $300M to $3,000; a 100,000-fold improvement in sequencing speed and cost in a few years.  In 2000, Kevin Co-Founded Agencourt Biosciences Corporation and acted as the CSO until it was acquired by Beckman Coulter. Kevin also managed the R&D for the Human Genome Project at Whitehead Institute/MIT resulting in several patents for nucleic acid purification. Kevin holds a B.S. in Biology from Emory University with a focus on cloning and expressing Norepinephrine Transporters. When not decoding DNA and unraveling the mysteries of cannabis medicine, Kevin enjoy boating, skiing, and gardening.

I am listening to #TheTatianaShow ep. 211 Socialism Sucks by Benjamin Powell Click To Tweet

Benjamin Powell stopped to talk about his book that he co-authored with Robert Lawson, Socialism Sucks: Two Economists Drink Their Way Through the Unfree World. Their goal was to reach people, learn about socialist policies on the ground, and OK… have a good time!  Beer turned out to be a good starting point, but we explore much more like what are the actual measures of socialism, capitalism, and communism? We compared hotels vs Airbnb in Cuba, Georian wine, and the more dire situations in North Korea and Venezuela. Nonetheless, this was a fun episode, with a dash of Austrian Economics.  A special thank you to our sponsors, Vaultoro.com and SaltLending.com for their continued support. About the Guests:

Benjamin is the Director of the Free Market Institute at Texas Tech University where he also serves as a professor of economics in the Rawls College of Business. He is also a Senior Fellow with the Independent Institute and the North American Editor of the Review of Austrian Economics.
