Author and liberty advocate Michael Maharrey joins the show and begins by explaining the goals and philosophy of the Tenth Amendment Center, where he serves as national communications director. He got involved after becoming disillusioned with the lack of progress from the Tea Party movement. Michael explains in simple terms exactly what the 10th Amendment and Bill of Rights represent legally & philosophically.
Tatiana, Josh, and Mr. Maharrey embark a wide-reaching conversation covering topics ranging from the nature of the Constitution and contrasts with governance systems in other countries, state powers versus federal government powers during a national crisis, law enforcement response during COVID-19 lockdowns, the differing perspectives between coronavirus lockdown protestors and those protesting over the death of George Floyd, and how pro-liberty artists can best get their message out to the public. They also broach the question of capitalism’s role in freedom.
